Going Nuts No More

Nuts are great for the weight-loss dieter…..NOT!!!

They’re healthy, don’t get me wrong, but they are just as calorific as chocolate.

For 100g of Brazil nuts, they have a whopping:

  • 656 calories!!!!!

100g of Brazil nuts is nothing. It’s a snack, but it’s a waste of calories. In fact, 100g equals 43% of my daily calorie intake if I eat 1,500 calories or less.

The only good thing going for them is that they’re very low in carbs.

But for someone like me, scrimping off the calories, they’re just too high an energy food, that for every 100g of nuts I can alternatively consume:

  • 3,600g of cherry tomatoes (insane!)
  • 480g of roasted chicken breast (which is a lot for me)
  • 6 slices of cheese (where I could take 2 slices and add to my plate of chicken with tomatoes)
  • 1,200g of carrots (which would be difficult to eat)

Yeah, nuts are not worth it. AT. ALL!!

So I decree, nuts are great once the weight is gone. Until then, just like I won’t touch chocolate, I will no longer go nuts either.
